Western-Mobile, Inc. (WMI), the lease holder, continued to operate the pit this year. This report covers two years, June, 92 to June, 94, the annual fees were paid under separate cover for both years. In December, 1993, the MLRB approved a Technical Revision that allowed the operation of an Asphalt Plant on the site. This use had been allowed by the county since the pit opened in 1977. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. We reduced the annual report map scale this year and it reflects the actual areas of disturbance shown on an airphoto taken this year. The Financial Warranty for this operation is $116,100 the permitted area is 122.95 ac. ± and the pit is divided into 4 Reclamation Phases. A sign that conforms with rule 6.7 Signs and Markers was installed at the entrance to the pit this year. Please refer to the Annual Report map for the location of areas discussed in this report. This information will comply with Section 2.4.1 of the Rules and Regulations. 2.4.1 (1) Mining continued in Stage A this year and a new office building and shop building was constructed on the site. The mine face has continued to advance to the south across the pit width, the area mined this year is colored tan and covers approximately 5.84 ac. ±. At this time there is 22.47 ac t in Stage A that is partially mined(yellow and brown).
