Long
Division Director
Basically, Mr. Dillie who did the analyses, concurs with your determinations
and states, in conclusion, that the probability of a single slope failure
causing structural damage to the pipeline is very small unless mining
activities continue at the toe of the embarkment after the pit has reached its
permitted depth. The permitted iH:1V mining slope must therefore be observed
to proi:ect the embarkment.
I have enclosed a copy of Mr. Dillie's analyses
have further questions.
SincerE~ly,
/J
Lorraine Stepensl.e
Reclamation Specialist
LS/amm
Enclosure(s)
cc: Carl Mount, DMG
Jim Dillie, DMG
7510E
Please contact me if you
COLORPLDO
r
