3.2 Proposed 2007Activities and Schedule <br />3.2.1 Processing <br />Natural Soda, Inc. anticipates sales in excess of 100,000 tons in 2007. Four boil outs of five day <br />durations are planned in 2007. In addition, the following activities aze planned: the Rosemont <br />Distributive Control System will be replaced with a Delta V system in the fast half of the year; <br />crystallizer flow tubes are being replaced to increase product quality; and the dome roof will be <br />repaired. <br />3.2.2 Well field <br />During 2007, it is anticipated that the lA Cavity will be retired, SH well will be changed from a <br />production well to an injection well, and two new vertical production injection wells will be <br />completed along the SH cavity. It is anticipated that fm•ther work will be conducted towazd <br />converting existing production wells into water wells for redundant supply to the plant. New <br />pressure transducer probes with associated dataloggers and telemetry systems will be installed to <br />replace the existing antiquated probes in 13 monitor wells; in addifion, new nitrogen water <br />sampling equipment will be installed in dedicated monitor wells throughout the year. <br />4.0 2006 Project Activities <br />4.1 On-Site Facilities and Process Description <br />4.1.1 General Arrangement <br />Figures 2-1 and 2-lA illustrate location ofproject leases and mining area. <br />4.1.2 Lab Operation /Sanitation/ ISO <br />In 2006, activities continued in the lab to provide analysis for process control, quality assurance, and <br />regulatory requirements. <br />• Plant operators performed process control analyses. <br />• Chloride levels were measured on the #1 product three times per twelve-hour shift and patch <br />tests were run once per shift to measure insolubles. <br />• Pests were controlled with the use of two UV bug lights, the placement of rodent traps azound <br />the interior walls of the plant, and the utilization of an ultrasonic bird repeller in the warehouse. <br />• Semi-annual GMP/sanitation training was provided for all employees. <br />• Mr. Frank Szostek, food safety auditor with AIB International, performed the annual sanitation <br />audit and the audit resulted in a "superior" rating for the second year in a row. <br />• AWWA, FDA, NSF, Kosher, and ISO certifications were obtained. <br />4.1.3 Process, Utilities, Facilities <br />The following process related activifies occurred during 2006: <br />• Modifications were made to the final tank baffle system that resulted in an increase in solids <br />and a corresponding increase in tonnage. <br />• The cooling tower additive system was changed. <br />• The fuel tanks and oil storage system have been moved and placed in new containment in <br />compliance with the Spill Convention and Countermeasure Plan. <br />• Major repairs were completed to the fire header system. <br />• A Special Waste Permit was obtained for the disposal of waste bi-cazbonate. <br />• Pazking for employees and tractor/trailers has been improved. <br />2007 Annual Report 4 of 18 <br />
