the rate of one (1) oz. per aae was spot sprayed on the whitetop. Control azeas were sprayed in
May and June. A spot spray gun was used to concentrate control activities on tazget areas,
reducing potential impacts to adjacent desirable vegetation. The herbicide mix, based on
recommendations from the Colorado State Extension Service, was mixed and applied by the
Seneca Mine Reclamation Manager who is a certified applicator. The weed control azeas will
continue to be monitored in 2005 for effectiveness and necessary retteatment. See attached weed
control daily logs for more detailed description of the 2004 herbicide application.
• Revegetation Monitoring
Revegetation monitoring of permanently revegetated azeas was conducted during the summer of
2004 by ESCO Associates, Inc. The 2004 annual revegetadon monitoring report is submitted as a
sepazate document (ESCO and SCC, 2004).
• Grazing
Cattle (1501ong yeazlings) were moved on to the Grassy Creek Pasture on August In 2004. Then
on August 14~' 2004, another 100 head were moved onto the Cow Camp Pasture and on August
20w 2004 an additional 50 head were moved onto the Powder House and Wadge Pastures.
