4.3.9 Other General Items <br />Discussions were held with the EPA &BLM regarding project progression from pilot to <br />commercial phase. As a result of many factors which require further definition, the BLM <br />and EPA have tentatively agreed to extend the pilot phase through cavities 4 and 5. <br />Final approval of cavity #4 with Mine Plan changes, APD's and EPA permit modification <br />with public hearings, is e:Kpected in early 1995. <br />• <br />5.0 LAND DISTURBANCE AND RECLAMATION <br />5.1 Summary of 1994 Disturbance <br />Following site construction in 1990, only minor disturbance occurred in 1991-1992. <br />However as a result of additional mining and improved sales, the annual disturbance in <br />1993 increased. In 1994 minimal disturbance was required for a monitoring Table 5-1 <br />lists disturbed acreage per site and at year end. Table 5-1 also presents associated <br />disturbed acreage for Right-Of-Way (ROW), pipelines, and roads. <br />Figure 5-1 illustrates mine site disturbance at year end, planned disturbance in 1995, and <br />1996. The only 1994 disturbance involved a sonartsubsidence monitoring well (94-1 M) <br />over cavity #3.
