The surface drainage facilities
were adequately maintained and were working properly. No subdrain
system is required by our permit, since geotechnical investigation
for the disposal site revealed no ground water present. Permanent
out slopes are being constructed now on the toe of sub-area 1 and
are stable.
We have now, to date, a total of 550,452 tons of refuse placed in
sub-area 1, and 622,997 tons placed in sub-area 2-3.
Both the topsoil and subsoil piles for those areas have been seeded
and are stable. Removal and stock piling of all organic material
and topsoil prior to disposal of refuse has been completed.
Deserado hiNe
P.O. Box ]067
Rangely.
