.. • III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~~-~~Eo RECE~VE® February 26, 1991 Mined Land Reclamation Division 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203 Subject: Annual Mining and Reclamation Report and Map. 1987-1991 Permit N 77-140 The following is an updated report and map which will reflect all mining and reclamation we have done.from 1987 until the present. The reason I have combined these past reports from the past few years into one report for this year, is essentially, we have not affected any additional land for the past 5 years. We started using a Sauerman drag scraper in 1986, which enabled us to basically excavate deeper in the existing pit, without disturbing any additonal land. Because of this, all the required reclamation that can possibly be done along the banks of our pit was accomplished in 1986. Mining Plan for 1987 - 199? Our mining plan for years 1987 - 1991 and several years into the future will be to excavate deeper in our existing pit in a westerly direction, from the north bank. (This is indicated on the enclosed map.) Depending on our gravel requirements for the next few years, we estimate we will be doing this until, at least, 1995. Reclamation Plan 1987 - 199? As stated previously, all reclamation that can be done was completed around 1987. In 4 or 5 years, when we have completed excavating to a greater depth in the present pit, we will probably have to open up some more land on the north side of the pit. (refer to map) Even if this occurs, we would still not exceed the acreage that our permit allows. Also included in this report is map N2, which shows a reclaimed area - not adjacent to our active pit, that was affected land under our permit.
