<br />D. T. Mathews Page 2 February 19, 1996 <br />well E-1 measured in May and September 1995 was 6366.9 and <br />6366.8 respectively. Based on the last two years of <br />monitoring data, there is no indication the water level in <br />well E-1 is increasing. It is unlikely this monitoring well <br />reflects the water level in the mine. The elevation of the <br />surface where the mine portals were developed is approximately <br />6400. <br />There is no assumed relationship between the water level in <br />well E-1 and the water level in the mine workings other than <br />the prediction that the water level in the mine may equal but <br />should not be greater than the water level in well E-1. <br />10 ) Wells E-1, F-1 and at least one alluvial well will not be <br />sealed until shortly prior to submittal of the final bond <br />release request.
