Energy Fuels Mining Company
Raton Creek Mine
1999 ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT
Introduction
The Annual Reclamation Report documents backfilling, grading, topsoiling, and seeding
activities conducted by Energy Fuels Mining Company (EFMC) at the Raton Creek Mine during
the 1999 calendar year. This report inc]udes text, discussion, and a map in accordance with the
requirements of Rule 2.04.13. in addition, the I?ivision's Annual Reclamation Report Form is
completed and attached hereto. Raton Creek remained in permanent cessation -reclamation
status during the reporting period.
Reclamation work during the reporting period included minor site maintenance, monitoring, and
limited inter-seeding on the refuse disposal area. Information about the 1999 reclamation work is
discussed below.
Disturbed Areas
No additional acreage was disturbed during the reporting period.
Backfilled and Graded Areas
No azeas were bacld~lled and graded during the reporting period.
Topsoiled Areas
No areas were topsoiled during the reporting period.
Revegetated Areas
EFMC revegetated approximately 2.5 acres on the refuse disposal azea during the reporting
period. This azea is shown on attached Figure 1, Mine Site. All work was conducted in
accordance with Minor Revision No. 17.
The azea shown on the above map encompasses approximately 5 acres, within which EFMC
chiseled and broadcast seed on alternating strips, approximately 15 feet wide, on the contour.
The seed mixture, shown on Table 2, was applied at a rate of 20 lb/ac. Chemical fertilizer, as
20-20-10, was then spread on the seeded strips at a rate of 200 ]b/ac. The resulting inter-seeding
work covered approximately one-half of the 5 acre azea shown.
