Also attached to this report is a map showing the
area of focus of our interim reclamation activities during 1994
and the biennial recomputation of the estimated reclamation costs
as Specified by Permit for the period 1995 - 1996.
1994 RECLAMATION HIGHLIGHTS
Area 1 - Mine Site
Approximately 1.5 ton of 33-0-0 fertilizer was broadcast to
previously reclaimed slopes around the Mine site area.
Three stormwater outfalls and two stormwater sediment basins were
constructed at the Mine site as per the terms of the facility
stormwater Management Plan. The outfall construction included
stabilization with Excelsior netting and seeding with the
specified Climax seed mix.
Continuing in the site tradition of reclaiming disturbances
as they occur and reducing unnecessary uses, seven buildings were
demolished on site during 1994. These include: the training
building; ~2 flume house; the electrical maintenance shop; the
gate house; the fire and ambulance garage; the tiro bay; and the
oxygen/acetylene storage building. we will continue to assess
needs and size our facilities accordingly.
