The water level in the mine is measured through a monitoring hole which penetrates the mine opening. The water level in the mine was basically stable during 2002. MINE WATER DUALITY The discharge from the No. 3 Mine and No. 1 Mine were combined on August 11, 1995. The average flow measurements from the No. 3 Mine (Outfall 007) for the period 1990 through 1994 are summarized below. The quality of the discharge is presented in a table in Appendix IV. The quality of the discharge from the mines showed some variation from last year. The flow decreased and conductivity and TDS increased during the year. The following table presents arithmetic averages of flow and quality measurements taken at Outfall 001. Outfall 001 is the discharge point for the passive water treatment system. As of August 11, i 995, the discharge from Outfall 001 is the combined discharge from the No. 1 and No. 3 Mines.
