Waldron December 1, 1995
Re: 1995 Annual Reclamation Report
end with the graveled portion of the road to the pad.
The County did not have an objection to blocking the
dirt road.
A sign was posted to inform the public: "This trail-
head parking area is provided for public use by Pacific
Basin Resources, with the cooperation of the United
States Forest Service. Please pack your trash out, and
keep the area clean for others to enjoy. Work safe,
play safe, and use this area at your own risk."
The dirt road was blocked with large boulders, the
roadway surface was broken with the tracks of the
dozer, and the area was seeded and mulched, with the
same seed mix and application rates, at the same time
as the Lower Hubbard Creek site. Also, the fence was
removed at the Lower Hubbard Creek site, and a similar
sign was posted for the Bureau of Land Management site.
(c) Other Temporary Seeding:
The outslope of the East Yard embankment along the fill
placed for the new access road south of the conveyor as
part of Technical Revision No. 21 was seeded with the
temporary seed mix following construction of the fill.
(d) Weed Control:
Thistles and Russian Knapweed were controlled by spot
spraying individual plants and patches of plants with a
portable spray system applying Banvel. Areas sprayed,
as needed, included the disturbed areas from Sanborn
Creek Mine portal to the West Yard, Substation No. 3,
and the Bear and Hubbard Creek sites.
11
