• A ~~~ IIIIIIIIIIIII~~~
TO
MINED LAND RECLAMATION BOARD
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
STATE OF COLORADO
OF
HOLLOWAY COMPANIES,
SPECIFICATION AGGREGATES, INC.
REFERENCE 1.
~ RE.CE[VED
FEB - 9 1979
RECLr~r:~,~11QN SECTION
Cclc .'ep':. e! ~Jat;:ral Resources
A. Permit No. 74-4C Development and Extraction
Mining Permit of the Mined Land Reclamation.
Board dated February 15, 1977.
B. Rules and Regulations, Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board (July 1978) Paragraph 2.4
Annual Reports.
GENERAL INFORMATION
There have been no changes during the past year in the Name of
Operator, Name of Applicant, Address or Phone Number, Owners of
Record of Affected Area, Owners of Substance to be Mined, Legal
Right to Enter, Type of Mine, Location of Mine, and Acreage.
Also there have been no changes of substance in the mining or
processing procedures except for the normal maintenance and
improvement of the processing equipment.
REFERENCE 2.
Submitted herewith is a Topographic Map (Scale 1 inch to 100
feet) of the affected area, showing the topographical character-
istics on October 13, 1978. Property boundaries are:
located on this map as well as the boundaries of the affected
areas, which are designated as Parcel 1 the processing area
and Parcel 2 the mining area. No specific reclamation w.as
contemplated nor projected for completion on this anniversary
date of the permit. Consequently, there is nothing indicated
on the map with reference to completed phases of the reclamation
plan.
(1) There have been no changes in the location and number
of acres affected during this past year. All of the
mining operations have been confined to areas which
had been previously affected in former years.
(2) There have been no acres specifically reclaimed
during the past year. However, reclamation is
directly related to the program for the extraction
of rock within the mining area, and the ultimate
reclamation plan is being simultaneously developed
by the progress of the mining activities.
(3) The number of acres in various stages of reclam, stion
is approximately 45 acres, all within Parcels 2 and 3.
(4) There has been no revegetation during the past :dear.
(5) There has been no use of fertilizers, organic m,sterial,
or soil conditioners during the past year.
(6) Reclamation of this affected land has been planned and
implemented to provide the amenities for future land
use in the form of a site development. The reclamation
plan relates directly to the mining operation, <uzd it is
being achieved coincidentally with the mining oF~eration.
A substantial por~.ion of the terrain to be resh~iped for
suitable future building sites is being accompl:Lshed by
the extraction of commercial aggregates.
