RECLAMATION REPORT
Coors Energy Company (CEC) continues to contract the services of both Cooper
Aerial Survey Company of Tucson, Arizona and BE&K/Terranext, LLC (Terranext)
in Lakewood, Colorado to supply the aerial survey and optical scanning/digitizing
services for the 1999 reclamation evaluation and tracking work. In addition to the
increased accuracy that has been brought to the overall process through the use of
these two firms and the latest mapping and drafting techniques, CEC continues to use
Terranext as a supplement and check on its understanding of the "reclamation
process".
No additional acreage was "disturbed" during 1999. Approximately 3.2 acres of
access road to the southeast of B-Pit was eliminated, with the excess spoils from the
road being used in the reclamation work at the south end of B-Pit, and the roadbase
used to recondition the other access road to B-Pit. Topsanding (placement of 2 feet
of topsand) was completed on approximately 15.3 acres of the former A-Pit and the
access road located north-northwest of the former A-Pit. A 2.6 acre tract to the south
of Topsand piles A-1 and B-1 was also reclaimed. A total of 17.9 acres (tlie 15.3
acres of former A-Pit together with the access road, and the 2.6 acres south of the
topsand piles) were fertilized and seeded with a sorghum cover crop in the late spring
of 1999. Tlie same 17.9 acres were seeded with the approved reclamation seed mix
(see Permit) in early November. These acreage parcels are identified on the
Vegetation/Revegetation Map.
Tl~e reclamation summary at the end of 1999 is as follows:
RECLAMATION ACREAGE SUNIIv1ARY
Total area remaining to be reclaimed 200.7 acres
Total area reclaimed and re-vegetated 212.3 acres
Grand Total 413 acres

A hi R- 1998
-114-
