Page 2 <br />Permit No: M-79-045 <br />Operation Name: Church Pit <br />Anniversazy Date: 02/28/2006 <br />(3) Clay -Mining will continue in Stage I or Stage II, no new area will be disturbed this yeaz <br />because we aze mining in the area stripped in previous yeazs. We will wntinue to deepen the <br />bottom of the mine into the clay veins exposed in the past and advance the face to the north as <br />approved in the reclamation plan. Processing will continue in the Clay Plant Site Area in <br />Stage 0 (purple). We will begin to removed overburden on the east side of the clay deposit to <br />expose additional clay in that azea. The clay storage on the east side of Stage II continues <br />(tan). It is blended with the clay from this mine at our brick plant in Lakewood. <br />Gravel -Mining will continue in Stage A and will progress to the east and north. Processing <br />will be done in the area east of the old Clay pit. As the perimeter of the mine is reached <br />sloping will begin as approved in the approved plan. Since the Rocky Flats Pit opened last <br />yeaz the gravel miner begin to mine thru the east side of the Church Pit into the Rocky Flats <br />Pit as approved in the permit. No sloping will be required along the line separating the <br />mines. Growth medium will be stockpiled along.the mine perimeter for use in reclamation. <br />(4) No reclamation is called for during the next yeaz. However, backfilling will continue on the <br />slopes in the old clay pit. The waste material from gravel processing will be used to <br />construct the south mine slope from the original ground level to the pit floor. We will <br />continue to fill the north slope of the old clay pit and begin to do sloping on the east side, if <br />the gravel operator removes the overburden pile next to the face on that side. If the opportu- <br />nity to sell rock from the southwest overburden pile occurs, that removal will continue as <br />well. <br />(~ CURRENT CONTACT <br />Thomas J.
