Each is <br />mined by a different operator under this single permit. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary <br />Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this yeaz. The approved bond amount is $84,200 <br />covering 75.74 acres f, and the facility has seven mining and reclamation phases. Please refer to the <br />attached 2005-2006 Annual Report Map for the azeas discussed in this text. <br />We will deal specifically with the Annual Report requirements as outlined in Rule 1.15 of the <br />Rules and Regulations and those noted in the annual letter. <br />(1) Clay - No new area"was disturbed by the clay mining operation this yeaz. We continued to <br />mine deepec on approximately 2.01 acres (/l~ on the land previously disturbed (blue) north of <br />the ditches in Stage II. Approximately 23.21 acres is disturbed by the clay operation in <br />Stages O, I and II. This included the old clay mined azea south of the ditches, the Clay Plant <br />Site (purple) and the storage area (tan). <br />Gravel - A total of 12.75 acres is being used as plant site azea in Stage A (orange). Mining <br />continues along the east side of Stage A marked with the following hatching symbol (///), it <br />cover 4.53 ac. f .The gravel operati rbed 28.42 acres ± in the mine (\\\). <br />Mining was limited this yeaz sue to the mine operator bring the Rocky Flats Pit on line. The <br />wntinued to mine deeper into the deposit and blend the floor of the mines along the eastern <br />permit boundary. Some waste rock was removed for use by the mineral owners from the <br />southwest prelaw stockpile area. <br />(2) No reclamation was required this yeaz. Filling continued on the oid clay mining azea in the <br />green azeas shown in Stage O. No additional reclamation is required until mining for both <br />materials is completed in any given stage. Construction of the required sight berm continued <br />along the west side of the mine in Stages C & D adding 800 feet more berm (magenta). This <br />is required by the county permit. <br />
