` ~ ~ 1.62 <br />(i) Acceptance of the Notice Of Temporary <br />Cessation as submitted. <br />(ti) Acceptance of the Notice Of Temporary <br />Cessation with modifications and other necessary ac tivittes as <br />established by the Board. <br />(iii) Oeterminatton that the mirtinq operation is <br />not in a state of temporary cessation. <br />(iv) Continuance of the matter for another month <br />or more to allow the operator to revise the Notice Of <br />Temporary Cessation, and/or to allow the Division staff to <br />conduct a site inspection or otherwise review the matter as <br />necessary. <br />(c) When no reclamation or performance standard issues <br />or Droblems are indicated in the Notice for temporary <br />cessation or by field or file inspection, and no concerns are <br />expressed by Interested Dersons, the Notice shall not be <br />placed on the agenda or heard by the Board. In such cases, <br />the county and approprtate municipality will be notified as <br />per Rule 2.23(2) and (3) and the fact of the receipt of Notice <br />by the 0l vision will be acknowledged in the monthly activity <br />report attached to the monthly agenda. <br />(d) Where certain mining operations are intermittently <br />active, with periods of inactivity exceeding one year (common <br />for some Sand and gravel and clay operations), the operator <br />may include in his permit application, amendment or technical <br />revision, the information otherwise required when fi]tng a <br />Notice Of Temporary Cessation. IF approved by the Board such <br />Notice in the permit shall serve as a substitute for the <br />Notice of Temporary Cessation as described under Rule <br />1.62(2)(a) with the following conditions: <br />(i) The operator must report to the Board <br />through his annual report the condition of the operation at <br />the time of cessation, what specific measures have been and <br />will be implemented to comply with reclamation and performance <br />standards requirements, and plans for resumption of mining. <br />(11) The Board shall, when necessary, establish <br />the commencement of temporary cessation to determine the start <br />of the five year period described in Rule 1.63. <br />1.63 A permit granted pursuant to Rule 2 or 3 may continue to <br />effect as long as: <br />- lOc - <br />
