During October, the West Pit water treatment plant operated efficiently discharging a
total of 9,067,600 gallons (27.83 acre-feet) of water to Rito Seco Creek, a total of
543,300 gallons (1.67 acre-feet) of water was transferred from the water treatment plant
to the tailing impoundment, and seepage along Rito Seco Creek remained dry. The
monthly precipitation accumulation for October was 0.77 inches, with the largest
accumulation (i.e., 0.39") occurring on October 2na
