• <br />This water line allows uninterrupted water acquisition from a <br />• completely controlled source. This, in turn, enables Asphalt <br />Paving Co. to insure water distribution throughout the quarry <br />operation. This facility now provides complete control of the <br />needed water to operate Ralston Quarry with an acceptable degree <br />of professionalism as well as the strong, established commitment <br />Asphalt Paving Co. has to Jefferson County. <br />Air Quality: Asphalt Paving Co. continues to recognize its <br />obligation to comply with the applicable air quality standards <br />and regulations set by the Colorado Air Quality Control <br />Commission. Asphalt Paving Co. continues to hold all appropriate <br />permits which have been issued for its operation and will work <br />hard toward compliance with State standards. We have not <br />received any air quality violation notices from any agencies. <br />Our superintendent is instructed to notify Jefferson County if he <br />anticipates any "upset" conditions. <br />Hours of Operation: The hours of operation 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 <br />p.m., Monday through Saturday, with only repair work permitted on <br />Sunday, continues to be the rule of our operations. No complete <br />crusher system has been operated prior to 6:00 a.m. or after 6:00 <br />p.m. All crushers, screening plants and conveyors are of the <br />portable type. All efforts have been made by in-house <br />maintenance personnel to equip our equipment with the latest <br />noise reducing suppressant equipment. <br />• All air track drills and compressors are of the recent model and <br />incorporate the manufacturers' latest technology. The air track <br />drills and compressor combinations have operated between the <br />hours of 6:00 a.m, and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. It <br />has not been necessary to blast prior to 8:00 a.m. nor after 5:00 <br />p.m. as a result of any emergency condition. Asphalt Paving Co. <br />continues to recognize its obligation to notify the Board of <br />Adjustment or its agents if these time restrictions are exceeded, <br />as a result of an emergency or unforeseen difficulty. Asphalt <br />~ Paving Co. has not double-shifted any of its crushing or trucking <br />operations during the past year and has not found it necessary to <br />give the 20 days notice to the Jefferson County Zoning <br />Administration, the Jefferson County School District R-1 or the <br />City of Golden. However, economic conditions at the present time <br />indicate that this will change sometime in the near future. With <br />the construction activity at the new Denver Airport picking up <br />and the runway construction about to commence, Asphalt Paving <br />Co. anticipates involvement in same. <br />Blasting: Test monitoring stations are established and are <br />operated on a portable basis to insure the structural integrity <br />of the improvements adjacent to the quarry site. As per the <br />analyzation of VME and its report documentation, ground motion <br />and noise have not exceeded the 2" per second allowed. Noise <br />level measurements conducted by MSHA have not exceeded those <br />• 3 <br />
