0 0 <br />SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />Poverty Gulch /Tenderfoot Project <br />RN- MINES -292 <br />PROJECT LOCATION <br />The project is located in and around the town of Cripple Creek in Teller <br />County. Please see the attached maps for project location. <br />WORK SUMMARY <br />The project work will include installing closures on hazardous mine openings <br />using a variety of closure types. These include backfills, installing pre -cast <br />panels, polyurethane foam closures, cable netting, and various types of grated <br />shaft and adit closures. <br />PRE -BID MEETING AND SITE SHOWING <br />A mandatory pre -bid meeting and site showing will be held at the train station <br />in Cripple Creek on Tuesday, May 26, 1992, at 8:30 AM. See attached map for <br />location. (A second Cripple Creek mine closure project will be shown in the <br />afternoon this same day. You are invited to attend this site showing as well). <br />The Pre -Bid Meeting is for the purpose of showing prospective bidders the work <br />site and vicinity. Bidders are advised to be prompt. Failure to attend the <br />entire meeting will be cause for rejection of a bid. <br />Bidders are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications given <br />at this meeting and site showing, all terms and conditions of the contract <br />documents remain unchanged unless they are changed by written amendment issued <br />by the OWNER. If the answers to questions, or any amendment to the contract <br />documents create ambiguities, it is the responsibility of the bidder to seek <br />clarification prior to submitting a bid. <br />BID OPENING DATE <br />The bid opening date for this project is Wednesday, June 10, 1992, at 2:00 p.m. <br />Please see Number 2 of the "General Conditions ". A written tabulation of the <br />Bid results will be available to those bidders who submit a self- addressed <br />stamped envelope with their bid. Telephone requests cannot be honored because <br />of time constraints. <br />GENERAL BID SPECIFICATIONS <br />The Colorado Inactive Mine Reclamation Program General Bid Specifications 1992, <br />which include General Conditions, Standard Work Specifications, and Standard <br />Drawings and Figures are intended to complement these Special Conditions. The <br />Special Conditions combined with the General Bid Specifications 1992 form the <br />complete Invitation and Bid document. Please refer to the Standard Work <br />1 <br />
