Figure 1. Surface topography is presented on Map 23A. No cross section information
was generated during the period. Mining in the 9-Right longwall panel in the Eastern
Mining District is projected to begin during the first half of 1996. Subsidence monitoring
will be conducted in accordance with the approved plan.
III. Structures
Structures affected during the second half 1995 reporting period include Routt County
Road 27, the YVEA substation located adjacent to County Road 27, and the YVEA
power line. Daily visual inspections of Routt County Road 27 were initiated 10/30/95
and continued through 02/26/96. Selected inspection sheets are included in this report.
With the exception of the initial form completed, only those sheets showing other than no
additional impact observations are included. All daily inspection forms are available for
review at the mine office. No road damage requiring immediate repair work was
evidenced during the subsidence process although gravel additions and routine
maintenance occurred as settling and weathering of the dirt portion of []te relocated road
resulted in rough driving surfaces. TCC will affect permanent repairs to County Road 27
in cooperation with Routt County during 1996. The YVEA power line was visually
inspected on a periodic basis with no impacts evident during the period. The substation
was inspected periodically commencing 12/26/95 and continuing through 1/24/96. No
impacts of any kind were noted during the monitoring period.
• IV. Fish Creek AVF
Survey monument data was previously generated for the 5000 series initially established
in December, 1994. Hydrologic data collection efforts were completed during the last
half of 1994. No additional hydrology data is submitted with this report. With the
submittal of the second half 1994 information, the Fish Creek AVF Hydrologic
Monitoring program was concluded as undermining of the area occurred in September
1993 and subsequent monitoring was continued for one year beyond that time in
accordance with permit requirements.
No vegetation data was generated during the period as this aspect of the study was
previously completed. Results are summarized in the First Half 1994 Subsidence
Report.
V. Conclusions
Subsidence monument surveys disclosed no unusual developments during the reporting
period. Subsidence magnitudes and projected draw angles were within the anticipated
ranges previously documented for the area.
Structures remained essentially unaffected during the period with the exception of the
• predicted impacts to the County Road. Minor impacts to the road were evident but
overall the road remained in good condition both during and afrer the subsidence process.
