The information will be submitted to the Division in an annual
report.." Excerpted from Colowyo Findings and Proposed
Decision to Approve Permit. File No. C-019-51, September 28,
1982.
Response
The Sediment Pond Inspection Reports are found in Exhibit
4 which satisfies requirement A. The reports indicate the
ponds are operating in accordance with certified designs. All
embankments, spillways, and other outlet structures are in
good operating condition. There is no evidence of potential
failure at any of the ponds.
In 1991, Colowyo contracted an independent surveying firm
to perform a complete topographical survey of all ponds. From
this survey, Colowyo generated new contour maps for each pond
and then calculated pond volumetrics. Table 1, on the
• following page, is presented as a summary of the calculated
pond volumetrics.
The Streeter Pond is the only Colowyo pond approaching
the 60i limit for occupied sediment storage (as per the
Permit, Volume 1, Paqe 2.05-22) and will be dredged of
sediment in 1992.

6
