3. Location and Number of Acres in Various Stages of Reclamation
The 2. 7 acres seeded in May, 1982 have developed a good
cover, and application for removal from bonding will probably
be made in 1986. The cover on the 51 acres in the old dump
site is still developing.
4. Species of Vegetation Planted, the Location and Dates of
Planting
All seeding in Cuts 1 and 2 , September 19 , 1985, and the
scheduled seeding, is being done with the following seed mix:
Crested Wheatgrass, Fairway 20. 67%
Side Oats Grama, Vaughn 23. 73%
Streambank Wheatgrass, Sodar 19. 29%
Indian Ricegrass 28. 02%
Inert 8. 05%
Crop and Weeds 0. 24%
5. Type and Approximate Quantity of Fertilizers, Organic
Material or Soil Conditioners Used and Location of Use
No fertilizers or soil conditioners were used in this year' s
plantings. All plantings were imprinted with the bulldozer
crawler tracks.
6. Appraisal of Results of Reclamation Efforts
Areas seeded in past years are developing good cover. The
transplanted trees which died, as reported last year, have
not been replaced, but further efforts will be made to im-
prove transplanting techniques. Imprinting with crawler
tracks has been more effective than other imprinting devices
which have been tried.
7. Estimates and Location and Number of Acres to be Affected in
the Coming Year
No new disturbance is projected during the 1985-86 year.
8. The effective date of the information provided above, and as
outlined on the included map pcc-1387, is October 1, 1985.
Paul E. Thomsen
Sr. Mining Engineer
