Also, is our check # 9496 in the amount of $225.00 to cover our annual
permit fee.
The following is a summary of our activity for the period November 04, 1992 through
November 03, 1993.
November 04, 1992 through January 11, 1993 -The Cross Mine Operation was closed
anti kept under afull-time closure care and maintenance program.
January 11, 1993 through January 17, 1993 - A safety training program and src~all mine
development program was established which employed 3 people full-time. Environmental
systems maintenance and construction work was also planned and implemented.
January 18, 1993 through September 30, 1993 - A small mine development program
on the tunnel level Apache vein completed 400' of new track drifting, 167' of cros~~-cut
drifting for establishing core drill stations, 140' of sub-level drifting on the north Apache
vein to prepare a block of ore for future production mining, and 100' of developm~;nt
raising on the north Apache vein in two locations and at the 1 left core station vent.
The above described underground development work produced +1,647 tons of mill grade
or better gold ore, +1,169 tons of low grade mill ore and +446 tons of quartz monzonite
waste rock. Without a mill available to ship this ore to, the entire tonnage was neatly
stacked on top of our existing dump area. Careful consideration was given to the !storage
of this ore until a fully permitted and environmentally sound milling situation devellops.
The company also continued construction work on its water discharge systems. New
sediment traps were constructed underground and lined with 3M Oil Sorbent Wrags.
Concrete grouting work was completed at the inflow and out-flow of both rubber lined
sediment ponds. A new 220' 8" PVC pipe line was installed between pond #1 and pond #2
on wooden trestles. The wooden trestles were hand painted with environmentally
matching paint. Our old zeolite filtration system was removed. A new proto-type zeolite
filtration system was installed and tested in October and November. Additional zeolite
filtration steel boxes are currently under construction and will be added to the system in
January 1994. A new 400' 8" PVC pipe line was installed underground at the Cro:,s Mine
to help manage elevated Spring run-off flows through our water discharge system
The company also constructed a new 8" PVC pipe system and zeolite column :zeolite
filtration system at the neighboring Caribou Silver Mine. This mine remained closed during
the entire year due to low silver prices.
Malfing Address: Post Office Box 653-Caribou • Nederland.
