opened in appropriate softwaze, has the EXIF data generated by the camera
included. Exactly what data will be displayed depends orc the particulaz
software, but at the minimum the basic data regarding date and time
should be available unless the softwaze used cannot access EXIF data.
Some older graphics programs were written before EXIF data and digital
cameras were even invented; no data can be displayed by those programs.
It is recommended that cunent versions of Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop
Elements or JASC (now Corel) Paint Shop Pro be used iP~you want full
access to EXIF data. These are the three most sophisticate°d and reliable
photo editing programs. (HINT: If all you need is general photo editing,
don't spend $700 on Photoshop; instead get Photoshop Elements 3 or
Paint Shop Pro 9 for about 1/7 the cost of Photoshop. They do everything
the general user would need and about 80% to 90% of what Photoshop
does.)
Images contained in this report were processed in Photoshop CS or
Photoshop CS2. No retouching was done, other than the color replacement
technique for the panoramic series of the leafy spurge populations. Images
were balanced For color and values using the levels and curves tools only.
No color balance, saturation, or other channel adjustments were made.
Sharpening was done using unsharp masking. In general, sharpening was
done to produce the best appearance on screen. Additional sharpening may
be needed to produce a better appearance if the image is to be printed.
(NOTE: A COPY OF THIS REPORT, LESS ANY PHOTODOCUMENTATION DISK
MEDIA, MUST ALSO BE PROVIDED TO THE DIVISION OF MINERALS AND
GEOLOGY FOR INCLUSION IN THE PERMIT FILE.)
Annual Status Report - 2005 for State Land Board July 15, 2005 Page '10 of 10
