(2) No reclamation was required this year, however we continue
to do reclamation concurrent with mining. The backfill
area in the northeast corner of LAKE MARJORIE is complete
(terra Gotta) . Since 1980 , 98 cottonwoods ; 3 cedar ; 61
black walnuts; 52 russian olives ; 32 pine and 148 wild
plums have been planted in around the east and south sides
of LAKE MARJORIE. Survival rate as been nearly 70% and the
trees are now self sustaining. We have had to fence in all
of the larger trees that existed on the site and a number
of the smaller ones along the Lowline Ditch to keep the
beavers from cutting them down. We have continued to
monitor their progress and care for them as needed. The
tree areas are colored green.
(3) Mining will continue in on areas previously stripped, in
both lakes, depending on the type and demand for material
needed. We will continue to mine into the sand pile areas
this year enlarging the lakes. If the need for larger
material occurs we will return to LAKE ROBERT and wine into
the stripped area. The Plant Site will remain on the south
end of LAKE MARJORIE as approved.
(4) No reclamation is required at this time since we are within
the bonded limits set in 1991. To remains consistent with
past practices we will reclaim any area that will not be
disturbed in the future.
