4. All chemical parameters are within Colorado Department of
Health standards.
5. Consumptive use by the mine remains below Corley well permit
levels of 41.4 ACFT, with 1992's usage rate of 34.4 ACFT.
Surface water
1. The operator has made conscientious effort to sample surface
water locations of Magpie, Oak, Second Alkali and Newlin
Creeks.
2. Stream flow data adequate on all four sites.
3. All NPDES points accounted for and properly:m~onitored and
discharges within allowable limits.

Summary:
All items specified in Stipulation 6 have been addressed in
the report: mine inflows with location and quantity on map
with table as to source and quality of all inflows, records of
water discharged from the mine, consumed in the mine and
imported for use in the mine. The inflow study is done
annually.
This AHR was submitted late and the operator issued an Notice
of Violation (NOV C-93-132). The NOV was terminated on October
22, 1993 with the submittal of the report.
The Southfield Mine has demonstrated compliance with all chemical
parameters in both ground and surface water quality. Based on this
report's data, there appears to be no significant deterioration of
water quality due to mine operation activities.
This concludes the Division's review of the 1993 Annual Hydrology
Report. Thank you for all the effort exercised in the sampling of
the four surface water sites.
