Consumptive use by the mine remains below Corley well permit <br />levels of 41.4 ACFT, with 1992's usage rate of 34.4 ACFT. <br />Surface water <br />1. The operator has made conscientious effort to sample surface <br />water locations of Magpie, Oak, Second Alkali and Newlin <br />Creeks. <br />2. Stream flow data adequate on all four sites. <br />3. All NPDES points accounted for and properly:m~onitored and <br />discharges within allowable limits. <br />The documents utilized in this review included the following: <br />Findings Document 1991 <br />Probable Hydrological Consequences <br />Cumulative Hydrological Impact Statement <br />AHR 1989, and 1991 <br />Hydrology sections of the permit <br />Hydrologic monitoring plan <br />Stipulation History <br />Summary: <br />All items specified in Stipulation 6 have been addressed in <br />the report: mine inflows with location and quantity on map <br />with table as to source and quality of all inflows, records of <br />water discharged from the mine, consumed in the mine and <br />imported for use in the mine. The inflow study is done <br />annually. <br />This AHR was submitted late and the operator issued an Notice <br />of Violation (NOV C-93-132). The NOV was terminated on October <br />22, 1993 with the submittal of the report. <br />The Southfield Mine has demonstrated compliance with all chemical <br />parameters in both ground and surface water quality. Based on this <br />report's data, there appears to be no significant deterioration of <br />water quality due to mine operation activities. <br />This concludes the Division's review of the 1993 Annual Hydrology <br />Report.
