1996 Ann:ial Hydrology Report Responses
December 11. 1997
Page .i
14. .Chloride was analyzed for all surface water sample locations, as indicated on
the laboratory data sheets sent to the Division, but was inadvertently lefr off the
tables. Please find revised tables enclosed.
.Field pazameters for the North Fork upper station were collected during the
third sampling period but was inadvertently lefr off the tables. Please find a
revised table enclosed. The lab did not complete the analysis of dissolved
aluminum as specified on MCC's standard list of parameters (confirmed to be)
on file at the lab.
• Field pazameters for the North Fork lower station were collected during the
third sampling period but was inadvertently left off the tables. Please find a
revised table enclosed.
.There is a continuous recorder located at the Minnesota Creek Upper Flume.
Please see Appendix A, Table A-4 which indicates that the flow exceeded the
flume capacity ("flume diversions flowing") and could not be measured
precisely during the second sampling period. Table A-4 also provides all the
flow measurements for this flume collected during the 1996 Water Year.
.The laboratory did not complete the analyses of conductivity and pH for
Lower Gribble Gulch, Horse Gulch, East Gulch, Deep Creek Upper, and Deep
Creek Lower stations, as specified on MCC's standard list of pazameters.
However, these measurements were obtained in the field and were provided on
the tables in Appendix C.
.The seasonal water quality analyses were completed for MB-2R, but was
inadvertently left off the table. Please find a revised table enclosed.
MCC would like the Division to reconsider the issuance of the violation, as the
data had been collected but inadvertently left off the tables in the AHR. MCC
has had nttmerous discussions with the lab and cannot explain why they did not
complete the analyses of dissolved aluminum for one surface water station and
why they missed conductivity and pH, although these pazameters were
collected in the field, as specified on MCC's standazd list of pazameters.
15. • Chloride was analyzed for all spring sample locations, as indicated on the
laboratory data sheets sent to the Division, but was inadvertently left off the
tables. Please find revised tables enclosed.
.The lab did not complete the analyses of conductivity, dissolved iron, and pH
for springs 26-1, 27-1 and 15-1, as specified on MCC's standard list of
parameters. However, conductivity and pH measurements were collected in the
