These tests were taken on the following dates:
• March 26, 1987; September 8, 1987; September 24, 1987; and December 21, 1987.
In addition, Brent Anderson with CMLR took a field test of alluvial well #1
on June 11, 1987. Copies of the results of these tests are enclosed for your
information.
In addition to the field tests, bottle samples were taken from both
wells on October 23, 1987 and December 21, 1987. These samples were
sulinitted to ACZ, Inc., Commercial Lab Division for analysis. Copies of the
results of this analysis are enclosed with this report.
On July 13, 1987, we received a letter fran CMLRD dated July 8, 1987.
In this letter, Bear was instructed to "investigate the integrity and
viability of well AA-1". In order to c~ly with this request we took twD
bottle samples from each well and sulinitted them for analysis instead of the
required one. Our analysis of the results frwn all of the tests on AA-1
indicate that the electroconductivity values for this cell continue to go
higher. Therefore, we have submitted all of the data to ACZ, Inc., and have
requested that they evaluate the information and report back to us with their
recwRnendation. Bear will notify the Division as soon as we have received
ACZ's detezmination.
In 1987, there were no discharges from the sediment pond at the Bear
Number Three Mine. Also, there were non from the sediment pond at the Bear
Number Tco Kline.
For the year 1987, we estimate that the entire operation at Bear Number
'Three consumed a total of 680,000 gallons of water. There were no outflows
fr~n the mine during the year.
~. .

~• L'
