In 1995, (16.81"), 1997 (18.96°), and 1998 (16.05") not only was the precipitation higher than normal, but March -June were especially wet and resulted in higher than normal vegetative production. The 1999 precipitation was lower than normal. The precipitation for 2000 was within the normal range, however the vegetative production was significantly less than average. In the year 2000 the precipitation for May -June was adequate, but due to an extremely dry April, growth was limited and resulted in early maturity of vegetation. The precipitation for 2001 was below the normal range. Precipitation in April and May enhanced the early grass production however, due to a damaging frost in June, grass and fort production was limited.
