restrictions to the plant. Efforts to increase the output temperature to the mine will
continue through optimization of the plant boilers. Projects to upgrade the food safety of
the product will be initiated on an ongoing basis. As food safety issues are identified,
either through White River Nahcolite sanitation audits or through the audits of our
customers, they will be evaluated and corrections made as needed. Projects to meet
other customers demands such as specialty products will be undertaken as accounts and
economics dictate.
Wellfield
New horizontal well pairs are planned for development. Designed to emulate the success
of cavity #1A, the wells will be drilled horizontally to prevent failure of the production
casing due to roof failure. No wells are planned for plug and abandonment. Replacement
or service of submersible pumps will be performed as needed.
4.0 2001 PROJECT ACTNITIES
A.1 OnSite Facilities and Process Description
4.1.1 General Arrangement
Figure 2-1 illustrates location of project leases, mining panel #1, monitoring wells, access road
and associated utility lines.

10
