Active mining and related activity was suspended and final reclamation <br />activities were initiated in early 1993. Final backfilling, regrading, topsoiling, and mulch crop <br />seeding of the major ren+~+nirg disturbance areas including the 720 Pit, Pit 1 areas and road and <br />pond areas were corpleted during 1995. Final reclamation seeding of these auras, minor <br />supplemental drainage protection work, and revegetation success evaluations was completed <br />doting 1996. <br />Sitc activities at the mine area and loadout during 1999 included completion of final reclamation at <br />the Loadout, burial of Loadout debris at the facilities area at the mine, rill and gully remediation, <br />and noazotts weed control activities. The attached 1999 Reclamation Map indicates the general <br />location of the activities, which are described below. <br />1.0 MINING AND TOPSOIL REMOVAL <br />Active mirtirlg operations at the Marr Mtne ceased in January 1993 and no nlirting or significant <br />topsoil removal activities have occurred subsequent to that date. <br />2.0 BACKFILLING AND REGRADING <br />Per Technical Revision Nos. 18 and 19, limited additional backfill and grading was conducted <br />adjacent to the mine facilities area and included burial of debris from final reclamation at the <br />loadout. This material was placed in a trench and covered with a minirnum of 4 feet of the <br />material excavated from the trench and the berm along the facilities pad and regraded to blend <br />with adjacent topography. <br />3.0 OVERBURDEN STOCKPILES <br />The primary overburden stockpile at the Marr Mine was removed and the associated disturbance <br />area reclaimed in 1993-94 in conjunction with reclamation of the 720 Pit. No overburden <br />stockpiles remain at the MatrMine. <br />P.0.
