Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this permit
is February 28, 1993. This mine currently produces two materials,
brick clay and sand and gravel, each mined by a different operator.
This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS
/operated more than 180 days this year. This permit is bonded for
$27,000, covers 75.74 acres ±, and has 7 mining and reclamation
phases.
The clay mine overburden piles, 6.18 acres ±, contain sand and
gravel that will be removed as mining for that material progresses
in the stages where they lay or will be used to establish the
slopes into the bottom of the clay mine should they not be
processed by the gravel operator. We also want to point out there
are a number of Pre-Law waste piles on the southern end of the
property that cover 17.72 acres ±. These piles will be removed as
mining progresses through Stages A and D and processed by the
gravel operator. These piles contain overburden and sandstone
removed from the clay seam by previous operators as they mined the
"area south of the ditches. Please refer to the Annual Report Map
attached for the areas discussed in this text. This map is a
scaled down version of the original map and should be easier to use
for review purposes.
We will deal specifically with the Annual Report requirement
as outlined in Section 2.4.1 of the Rules and Regulations.

continued to mine deeper on the land previously disturbed.
