Cadmium, mercury, selenium, iron, manganese,
molybdenum and zinc were missed for the september 1989 sample (site 800).
Please explain the omissions.
CYCC Response:
Refer to response to concern number three relating to information on constituents. In
regards to the missed pH, the pH probe was broken when station 800 was sampled in
October, 1988.
MLRD CONCERN:
Spring Sampling -
1. The monthly field parameters for springs A-2, C-1 and spring 114 (April) were
missed. These are considered to be important samples. Please explain the
omissions.
CYCC Response:
CYCC is not certain why the field parameters for these sites were not obtained in April.
Steps have been taken to prevent a recurrence.
MLRD CONCERN:
2. Please provide a map of spring locations labeled "OB DN Ditch" and "Overburden
Pile".
CYCC Response:
It would appear that these sites correspond to sites EP 87-O1 and Spoil Spring I
respectively, given that there is no mention of Spoil Springs "OB DIV Ditch" and
"Overburden Pile" in our records for the May survey. Sites EP 87-O1 and Spring I are
shown on the previously submitted Map l0A (Hydrologic Features) in the Permit
Renewal document.
MLRD CONCERN:
Water Quality Analysis -
