<br />In addition, type 3 materials should be subject to 2 laboratory and <br />field permeability tests for each acre of liner installed. <br />The statement is made in appendix J of the approved permit <br />amendment that the "Contractor shall suspend fill placement and <br />foundation preparation operations whenever conditions for such <br />operations are unsatisfactory due to rain, snow, wind, cold <br />temperatures, or any other reason deemed detrimental to said work <br />by the Engineer". In addition to these general guidelines, the <br />Division should require that welding of the geomembrane be <br />suspended if the air temperature drops below 40°F, andl that soil <br />liner material not be placed on frozen or overly wet surfaces. <br />~{~ e~ e t tfl'P ~f.
