At the Seneca L[ Nine, there are four springs (native) that are sampled annually (in •
September): Springs #1, 2, 3, and 5. They are analyzed using the surface water Long
List. Per a request by Cathy gegej of the CMLRD during the spring of 1990, the nine spoil
springs, formerly monitored in September, were monitored in the spring season after the
ground had dried from snowmelt. Monitoring consisted of field parameter and flow
measurements. In addition, Spoils Spring #1 was monitored for the long list concurrently
with Site SN-S2-6, and was monitored biweekly and concurrently with Sites SW-S2-6 and
NPDES 004 for flow and field parameters from May to September of 1990 within the perLod
that floe was present at the mouth of Cow Camp Creek (Site SN-52-10).
Surface eater quality data are presented in Appendix E. Data for each site begins with a
flow hydrograph of all historic data (plus an annual hydrograph for NPDES sites), followed
by a statistical summary of water quality data for the current water year, and then a
fisting of individual water quality and quantity data for the current water year. Percent
milliequivalent values (used to determine water quality type) are presented in Tables 18
through 21 (Appendix A). Crest stage gage rating curves are presented in Appendix F.
NPDES discharge monitoring reports (DMRS) are presented in Appendix G.
Lab samples are handled identically to procedures discussed previously in the ground water
section. For the sake of brevity, the SW-52- prefix that precedes all surface water site
names will often 6e dropped throughout the following text. As an example, Site SW-52-5
will be referred to as Site 5.
Fish Lreek Drainage. Seven monitoring sites exist within the Fish Creek drainage: N-DES
004, Sw-S2-6, and Sw-52-10 are located on Cow Camp Creek. NPDES 008 and SN-S2-12 Bre
located on Bond Creek and Sites SN-S2-71 and SY-S2-73 exist on Fish Creek.
NPDES Discharge Point 004. Hydrographs based on weekly flow measurements ere presented in
Appendix F. The hydrographs for NPDES sites consist of two parts; the first being data
for 7990 only, while the second shows historical data from July, 1982 to September, 1990.
The mean weekly flows for the past several years were:
7990VY (Voter Year) 0.135 cfs
1989VY 0.214 cfs
1988VY = 0.180 cfs
1987VY = 0.110 cfs

12
