CNWny

SUBJ: McClane and Munger Annual Hydrology Report for WY 2003 Division Dinxtor
NaNnl Resounx Tnlrttt
Dan, The review is complete for the McClane/Monger AHR for WY2002.
Overall, the report indicates that there has been very little in the way of impact from the
mining activity on the groundwater or surface water resources around the mines.
The minewater had lower total dissolved salt (TDS) content than East Salt Creek during
the 151 quarter sampling. In the 2"d quarter, the TDS value was elevated slightly
downstream of the McClane Canyon Mine but was still far below the baseline value for
East Salt Creek.
Groundwater analyses show that pH in the East Salt Creek alluvitun upgradient of the
mines was lower than that below, but the electrical conductivity (indicative of TDS) was
lower downstream.
There was no indication of any impact from the mines.
cc: Sandy Brown
OfFlce of ~~ of Coorado
Mined ltnd Reclamation Alive and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
