The report documents that the operations have had
no impact on groundwater or surface water resources in the vicinity of the mines.
Hydrologic monitoring results conform to projections of the Probable Hydrologic
Consequences (PHC) sections of the permit applications.
The Division has only one request regarding future monitoring and reporting activities. Over
the years, collection of flow and analytical data from Munger Creek and McClane Creek
(both ephemeral streams) has been sporadic. Beginning in 2004, we request that data from
these creeks be collected annually. Please ensure that an operator representative who is
on-site full time is assigned the responsibility of collecting samples and flow measurements
during at least one summer storm runoff event and from at least one snowmelt runoff event
at the Munger Creek and McClane Creek sampling sites.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~~.
Dante athews
Environmental Protecti n Specialist
C: Denver File
Office of Office of ~ Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
