Dep!. of Na!ural Resource
The permanent waste dump located in the east half of Section 30, T5N
R88W was required in the Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Operations -
Permanent Regulatory Program. The area boundaries on the attached map
are only rough approximations.
1. Area A-1 is reclaimed with vegetative growth evident. All
slopes in area A-1 are 3:1 or flatter and appear stable.
Area A-2 is reclaimed with vegetative growth evident. This
area contains slopes as steep as 2.3:1 but is a cut slope,
not a fill embankment, and it appears stable.
2. Area B has been recontoured, topsoiled, seeded, and mulched.
Vegetative growth is evident. All slopes in Area B are 3:1
or flatter and appear stable.
3. Area C is complete as far as accepting waste overburden and
has been topsoiled. The slopes are 3:1 or flatter and
appear stable.
4. Area D has been recontoured to a 3:1 slope. The area is
ready for seeding.
5. Drainage from the dump area is controlled by interceptor
channels and sediment control structures so as not to degrade
surface or ground water.
6. The waste dump is being constructed using recognized
professional standards.
