Site Reclamation Activity <br />April 2001 - March 2002 <br />Page 3 <br />3) maintenance and operation of the water treatment system <br />including the Cement Creek diversion in compliance with the <br />CDPS Permit and related Consent Decree. It is planned to <br />complete closure of the American Tunnel and suspend diversion <br />and treatment of Cement Creek in 2002. The capability of <br />diverting and treating Cement Creek will be maintained. Flows <br />from the lower American Tunnel will be treated but upon <br />completion of the planned American Tunnel bulkhead No.3, flows <br />should no longer exist and treatment will not be necessary. <br />4) monitoring and maintenance of revegetated areas. <br />5) monitoring of the American Tunnel Bulkhead #2 and placement of <br />the planned American Tunnel Bulkhead #3 after equilibrium is <br />reached behind the #2 Bulkhead. <br />TERRY TUNNEL AREA - Plate No. 2 <br />During the 2001 reporting year, no additional acreage was <br />disturbed. The 4.30 disturbed acres within the permit area were <br />reclaimed. <br />Activity at this site consisted of; <br />1) completion of surface reclamation. <br />Activities planned for 2002 are; <br />1) monitoring and maintenance of the reclaimed site. <br />SUNNYSIDE BASIN (CARE EMMA) AREA - Plate No. 2 <br />During the 2001 reporting year, no additional acreage was disturbed <br />or reclaimed. <br />Activity at the site consisted of; <br />1) refilling the area of subsidence over the Lake Emma hole back <br />to grade. The fill material was obtained from the stockpile <br />left for this purpose. <br />2) moving additional material to the stockpile for future filling <br />• of the subsidence area and final reclamation. <br />
