In completing my certification, I have conducted
an inspection of the refuse sub-area 1 pile and construction
site.
There are no apparent points of seepage in the pile, and there
is no indication of slope failure. The surface drainage facilities
were adequately maintained and were working properly. No
subdrain system is required by our permit, since geotechnical
investigation for the disposal site revealed no ground water
present. Permanent out slopes have not yet begun to be built.
We are currently constructing our first lift with horizontal
layering and progressing from South to North in order to maintain
Desnado Mine
P.O.
