<br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />II <br />u <br /> <br />Banks and Gesso, LLC <br />5.0 Description of Proposed Use <br />5.1 List of Proposed Uses <br />ASCI wishes to have approval for the following uses on the property: <br />• Sand and gravel mining and processing <br />^ Reclamation to a water storage reservoir, wetlands and <br />wildlife habitat <br />^ Te;mporary ready mixed concrete plant <br />Outdoor vehicle parking and storage of construction <br />equipment related to ASCI's business <br />• Concrete recycling (i.e. importation of hardened concrete, <br />crushing, stockpiling and reuse). <br />• Maintenance facility (maintenance of equipment and <br />vehicles used on site) <br />O1fce <br />Minor uses ancillary to the above listed uses. <br />' The Vicinity Map shows the general location of the property and the Site Plan <br />Map shows the location of these uses. Existing buildings will be used for <br /> maintenance, office and some storage. No new structure are planned. <br />' 5.2 Sand and Gravel Mining and Processing <br /> The Site Plan Map shows the area and phases of sand and gravel mining as well <br />as the initial and final location of the processing plant. The Post Mining Land <br /> Use Map shows the configuration of the water storage reservoir. <br />' <br /> MINING PLAN <br /> Overview <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />LJ <br />The applicant propose:> to develop the site as a sand and gravel mining and <br />processing operation with ancillary and compatible uses of temporary concrete <br />production and construction materials recycling. Approximately 32 acres of the <br />total permit area acreage of approximately 52 acres is proposed for mining. A 3 <br />acre parcel outside the compacted clay liner, (Area 2) would be wet mined and <br />backfilled to grade. The Applicant also proposes to wet-mine a 6.2 acre parcel <br />(Area 3), adjacent to the South Platte River, subject to the special conditions <br />described in the following section labeled Area 3 Mining and Reclamation <br />Procedures. After mining is complete, the main excavated area will be <br />reclaimed as awater-storage reservoir surrounded by a compacted clay liner that <br />will be constructed in phases, during the reclamation operations. The edges of <br />the reservoirs will be reclaimed to an irregular shoreline with wetland vegetation <br />gradually establishing itself.
