Peabody <br />Environmental Affairs staff intend to observe the settling pond <br />maintenance activities the next time they are required to verify the source <br />and cause, and develop a means to prevent the problem from occurring in <br />the future if needed. <br />The pH monitoring information collected at Outfall 006 is contained in <br />attached Table 2. The duration of the non-compliance flow was <br />approximately two weeks. Algae aze suspected to be the cause of the non- <br />compliance flow as indicated by the relationship between the pH of inflow <br />and outflow water.
