The Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) received a wildlife resource assessment report from
Michael Figgs of LREP on behalf of CEMEX, Inc. for the Lyons Quarry, Permit No. M-1977-208. The
mine site is located in north-central Boulder County, Colorado. The report was submitted to the DMG in
response to recent water samples taken at the C-Pit that exceed DMG established numeric protection
levels for groundwater.
The Division forwazded this report to the Division of Wildlife for their review and comment. The report
does note Federally endangered and/or threatened species in the surrounding area. Please provide any
comments to the Division on or before October 4, 2004.
