• CASTLE CONCRETE COMPANY'S
MINED LAND RECLAMATION
1986 ANNUAL REPORT FOR: SNYDER UQ ARRY
PERMIT NUMBER: 77-210
DATE OF INSPECTION FOR DATA IN REPORT: April 28, 1986
SUMMARY: During the previous year the mining area changed very little,
but the mining depth was considerably increased. Reclamation involved
maintenance of the visual berm vegetation. The shop site was fully
developed and the shop became operational.
RULE 2.41(1): LOCATION AND NUMBER OF ACRES AFFECTED DURING THAT YEAR.
The amount of land affected during this last year was essentially
the same as it was during the previous two years, about 30 acres.
Mining proceeded primarily in a downward direction in the main pit
reaching for the bottom of the mineable limestone. Once that is reached
then the pit width will expand into the backwall of the pit.
During the previous year the shop site was just barely started.
During this last year, the shop was finished and is now in full
operation.
RULE 2.41(2): LOCATIONS AND NUMBER OF ACRES RECLAIMED FOR THAT YEAR.
No reclamation was done during this last year, however, some
maintenance work was done on the berm to repair some minor erosion
damages.
RULE 2.41(3): THE LOCATION AND NUMBER OF ACRES IN THE VARIOUS STAGES OF
RECLAMATION (BACKFILLED, GRADED, TOPSOIL REPLACED, REVEGETATED).
The three acres of the visual berm area is the only area where
reclamation has been fully instituted. No other portions of the quarry
are yet ready to have any reclamation applied.
RULE 2.41(4): THE SPECIES OF VEGETATION PLANTED, THE LOCATIONS AND
APPROXIMATE DATES OF PLANTING.
No planting occurred.
Page 1 of 2 Permit 77-210 Snyder Quarry 1986 Annual Report
