Page 2
CX-84-113-02
Most hole locations were surveyed in and then surveyed again after drilling.
It is possible that the drill crew would drill in a bare ground area either
because that was where the stake fell or because it was close and appropriate
to alter the site location. Consequently, the disturbed area might be much
larger than the holes and the mud pit. CEC has tried to completely revegetate
such areas but if cow and rodent activity is extreme, this may not be possible
in such dry sandy conditions. At any rate, this disturbance, whether human,
stock, coyote or rodent, is only 0.02'A of the acreage in the section as
discussed above.
At present, the section is not being grazed. I think it would be appropriate
to inspect the area before stock is moved onto the land. If you agree, I will
coordinate this. Based on previous experience, the little seeding done this
week will probably not show much progress by August which I think is the
latest that inspection for bond release should be done. If you feel you need
to see the results of this last three days, we might have to wait until next
year depending on weather conditions in the next sixty days.
Please let me know what you wish to do about this matter of bond release on
CX-84-113-02.
Yer truly yours,
ohn Althouse
Supervisor
!Sine Engineering
JA/kr
