approximately 300 west of survey monument no. 11 1. As noted on the November and
December 1998 inspection forms, other cracks and buckling on the shoulder and roadbed
were identified between monument nos. l l I and lli. No repair work has been
performed in these areas to date.
1I1. Map
The monitoring locations for the second half of 1998 are shown on the Second Half 1998,
Subsidence Map. The map also indicates the location of the longwall face on a monthly
basis.
IV. Conclusions
Subsidence monument and power pole surveys disclosed no unusual developments
during the reporting period. Subsidence magnitudes and projected draw angles were --'
within the anticipated ranges previously documented for the area.
Structures remained essentially unaffected during the period with the exception of the
predicted impacts to the county road and power poles. During the period of subsidence,
the county road was maintained in good condition. The required repairs to County Road
No. 33 are tentatively scheduled for spring of 1999 as the weather improves. No adverse
impacts, i.e. imminent failure of structure, were evident with regard to the power lines.
Filed:\environmental\document\subsidence\982ndsub.doc
