iii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii <br />999 <br />SECOND HALF 1998 SUBSIDENCE SURVEY REPORT <br />Survey Data <br />During the second half of 1998, subsidence survey data was collected periodically from <br />established monuments on Routt County Road No. 33, the Hayden-Gore Pass, Wolcott <br />Tap-Wolcott (PSC) and Westem Area Power Administration power lines and Foidel <br />Creek in areas underlain by gate roads or panel centers during periods of mining in the 6 <br />Right longwall panel As is reflected in the data and on the attached subsidence map, the <br />6 Right longwall panel did not directly undermine [he railroad and the Western Area <br />Power Administration power line during the second half of 1998. <br />The data and frequency for the survey monuments along Routt County Road No. 33 are <br />presented in the attached Table 1. <br />The data and frequency for the survey monuments along the Wolcott 'fap-Wolcott <br />(PSC), Western Area Power Administration and Hayden-Gore Pass power are presented <br />in the attached Tables 2, 3 and 4. <br />The First Half 1997 Subsidence Report included a subsidence profile of Foidel Creek <br />subsequent to completion of the 7 Right long~val] panel. Foidel Creek was again <br />surveyed in November 1998. A revised profile of [he creek showing [he subsidence <br />effects due to the mining of the 6 Right longwall panel is attached as part of this report. <br />II. Structures <br />Structures affected during the second half 1998 reporting period include the Wolcott <br />Tap-Wolcott (PSC). Western Area Power Administration and Hayden-Gore Pass power <br />lines, Routt County Road No. 33 and a small section of Foidel Creek. The Union Pacific <br />Railroad was not undermined during the second halt of 1998. <br />Visual inspections of the Wolcott Tap-Wolcott (PSC), Western Area Power <br />Administration and Hayden-Gore Pass power lines were conducted concurrent with the <br />surveys of the power poles from November 20, 1998 through December 2fi, 1998. No <br />significant damage to the structures was noted during this period. No repair work was <br />required as a result of TCC's mining activity. <br />Visual inspections of two segments of Routt County Road No. 33 and the adjacent power <br />line .v-ere conducted tram August 24, 1998 through December 17, 1998. Changes in the <br />road shoulder of the eastern-most segment were first detected on September 9, 1998 <br />approximately 400' northeast of survey monument no. 109. As noted on the September <br />1998 inspection forms, other small cracks were identified in the immediate vicinity of <br />survey monument no. 109. No repair work was performed in this area. Changes in the <br />road shoulder of the Westem-most segment were first detected on November 17, 1998 <br />
