For this reason UMETCO Minerals requests that <br />the Burros Mine be re-characterized as an intermittent <br />operation. The information supporting this request is <br />provided below. <br />Introduction <br />The Burros Mine is located in San Miguel County about 1 1/2 <br />miles north of Slick Rock, CO. The mine is owned by Umetco <br />Minerals Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Union C.srbide <br />Corp. The minerals of interest are uranium and vanadium. <br />Mining activities are being conducted at the site. 'Phe <br />ventilation systems, along with the main mining areas, are <br />maintained. This allows the mine to remain as an <br />intermittent operation. As such it is kept in a state of <br />readiness. The ability to come on line quickly and ~~roduce <br />as the market dictates. <br />Annual Report <br />Upon reviewing the annual report, we find that the rE~port <br />was not complete in that it did not refer to all activities <br />that occurred at the Mine.
