I <br />~ • 4.3.9 Ground Water Discharge Exemotion for Impoundments <br />As a result of CDH Water Quality Control Division regulations, NaTec is in the <br />process of preparing application for exemption from Ground Water Discharge <br />Regulations for NaTec's impoundments. <br />5.0 LAND DISTURBANCE AND RECLAMATION <br />5.1 Summary of 1991 Disturbance <br />Following site construction in 1990, there has been no additional disturbance in <br />1991. Figure 5-1 illustrates mine site disturbed acreage. Total disturbed acreage <br />associated with plant construction, wells and pipelines is 40.9 acres, the same as <br />reported for 1990. Table 5-1 lists disturbed acreage for the NaTec project. <br />• <br />A livestock watering pipeline 11 1/4" P.V.C. pipe, 4700 feet in lengthy was <br />installed by NaTec for the BLM, grazing permittee near the NaTec operation. This <br />was not a project disturbance, but is listed under associated areas of disturbance, <br />Table 5-1. <br />5.2 Reaulatorv Comaliance <br />5.2.1 Reyulatorv Activity <br />On February 27, 1991, NaTec submitted an amendment application and fee to the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation (CMLR) Division. This application, which <br />updates and increases future disturbed acreage from 43 to 73 acres, was <br />approved May 28, 1991 by the CMLR Board. Also, a financial warranty, <br />increasing the reclamation bond to a total of 5150,750, was secured. <br />34 <br />
